South Australian Redbacks
won by 5 wkts,

Australianism has prevailed again as the Redbacks chased down 180 and have almost booked a place in the semi-finals of this competition. It has been a splendid effort from the South Australians and it has been a pleasure bringing this match to you. Do join us tomorrow for the double header between Victoria and Central Districts Stags and the big match between Chennai andWayamba. This is Sid V, saying good night on behalf of my colleagues Shashank and Srivathsa.
Presentation:
Klinger: It was a super effort by all the batters. We backed ourselves to chase such a big target. I could not have asked for a better effort from the boys. We have a plan to target some bowlers at some particular ends. The running between the wickets was simply superb. The dressing room atmosphere is absolutely great and I would like to thank all the fans who have come here and supported us.
Tendulkar: I thought 180 was a good score and the batters batted brilliantly. The fielding cost us dearly and it undid all the good work done by the bowlers. We had our opportunities to take wickets but we did not capitalize on them. They managed to hit boundaries towards the end. We have to try and pick up our performances and we have to produce something special.
Harris: Mumbai bowled well early. However, we did not lose any wickets and luck was with us. We faced Malinga for the first time and that was a bit of a challenge. Symonds did not tell me to watch the umpire's tie if we had to play Malinga better. The guys in the end were absolutely cool under pressure and hats off to them.
Daniel Harris is the MoM for his outstanding 56 off 37 balls.
At no stage did they lose momentum and in the end Cooper and Borgas held their nerve to clinch a famous win for the South Australian Redbacks with 3 balls to spare and 5 wickets in hand. What this means is that the South Australian Redbacks have one foot into the semi-finals, while the Mumbai Indians face an uphill task after having lost both their games. Not often do you see Sachin Tendulkar becoming nervous on the cricket field but it was just that kind of game where everyone was on the edge of their seats! This has been a heart stopping thriller and one of the best games of the CLT20 since its inception.
South Australia have clinched a memorable win here! Mumbai were listless on the field and their bowling was terrible to say the least. South Australia were slow at the start but they ensured that they had all their wickets intact, and timed their chase to perfection. They played sensibly to play out Malinga and Zaheer's initial burst and went after the inexperienced Murtaza. Harris was in a punishing mood at the top and he was backed superbly by Klinger.
South Australians have done it against a team full of superstars, and that's what makes this win even more special. No big names in their line up but just a bunch of hard working and committed cricketers who have given it their all to clinch a win which I am sure would have sent all their fans into a tizzy!!
Mumbai were abysmal in the field and paid the price for their shoddy display. Zak and Malinga bowled beautifully in the initial overs, but the openers hung on and then made full use of the chances that Mumbai gave them. In the end Cooper and Borgas finished it off in style.
What fabulous scenes out there, the whole of the SAUS team are out on the field congratulating each other. Sachin has a forlon look on his face and so do the Mumbai team owners - Mukesh and Neeta Ambani - even Vidhu Vinod Chopra, the producer of 3 Idiots is out there with them. Mumbai are almost out of this year's CL.
